A catch-all mailbox receives emails sent to inactive addresses under the very same domain. For instance, an email message sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been activated for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from colleagues or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already deactivated. Only one single mailbox per domain name can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may start receiving spam emails in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

If you host a domain on our cloud platform and you have a shared hosting account, you will be able to enable the catch-all feature for any e-mailbox that you set up under the domain name. The Hepsia hosting Control Panel’s Email Manager section offers quite a lot of functions, but it’s astonishingly easy to work with, so configuring a catch-all mailbox requires just one single click of the mouse. All the email addresses that you’ve set up will be enumerated in this section in alphabetical order and you will simply need to click the "Catch-all" button for the specific address. Our system will inform you if there’s already another catch-all mailbox activated for that domain name or if the one that you would like to be a catch-all mailbox has email forwarding enabled, so you can either turn off the latter feature or pick some other mailbox. Disabling the catch-all option is just as easy and requires yet another mouse click on the same button.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Servers

A catch-all address can be configured with a few clicks in case you’ve got a Linux semi-dedicated server with our company. The hosting account will be managed through our custom-developed Hepsia hosting Control Panel and you will be able to create email addresses using any domain name registered here. To activate the catch-all option for a particular mailbox, you will have to click the logo with the exact same name, which will be on the right side of each mailbox. Deactivating this feature can be done in the same fashion and will not take more than one click either. If the catch-all option has already been activated for a particular domain, you’ll receive a warning message. The same goes if the mailbox that you wish to be a catch-all one has email forwarding activated, as our system will never edit or deactivate anything automatically.
